How it compares
Each cell below quotes the vendor's own public page, with the date it was read, including where each one sends personal information. Where a page does not say, the cell says so; nothing is inferred.
| Vendor | ASX listing directory coverage | Where personal information goes | Logs what you type | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ASX Company directory (asx.com.au) | The exchange's own company directory on its website, searched by keyword; a web page, not an API. Source · read on the vendor's page, read 2026-10-03 | Related bodies, service providers, registries and technology partners outside Australia; personal information may be disclosed to or stored in the United States, the United Kingdom, India and other jurisdictions. EODHD Exchanges API (ticker lists) and ASX data | A global market-data API: an exchanges endpoint lists 70 supported exchanges and the active or delisted tickers of each, ASX among them; a data feed, not an Australian directory. Source · read on the vendor's page, read 2026-10-03 | Not stated: the privacy policy names no country or region where data is processed or stored. Coverage and limits
- Coverage: every company in the ASX listed companies directory, by ticker, live from ASX or from the stored directory as the mode asks.
- Every reply says which source answered and when it was observed.
- A listing says that a ticker trades on the ASX. It is not market data and carries no prices.
- On this page, each visitor may make 10 requests per 10 seconds and 40 requests per 60 seconds. Over the limit, the reply is
429 FAIR_USE_CEILINGwithRetry-After. - A registered app starts with 150 requests for each product and each day (an owner's apps share one daily total). Over it, the reply is
429 FAIR_USE_CEILINGwithRetry-Afterand the reset time. A verified owner can ask for a higher ceiling in the Companion App. Every product is free under fair use.
Query privacy. The ticker or name you send is used only to answer that request. A live answer sends the ticker to ASX's market data service (asx.api.markitdigital.com); a snapshot answer is read from the directory stored in Australia. Comms.ID keeps no query text: request content is never logged, Worker logs are off, and usage counts record only the app, the product and the day.
Company data: ASX listed companies directory, as published by ASX.
